Iridology charts:

By the way of definition, iridology is a science whereby the practitioner can tell from the markings or signs in the iris of the eye the reflex condition of various organs of the body. In other words, it is the science of determining acute, sub-acute, chronic, and destructive stages in the affected organs of the body through their corresponding areas in the iris. Drug deposits, inherent weaknesses and living habits of the patient are also revealed in the iris of the eye.

Iridology revels inherent characteristics of the tissues in an organ. It shows tissue changes resulting from proper or improper treatment. It is a diagnosis that works hand in hand with habits of living which build health and eradicate disease.

From the diagnostician's standpoint, there are claimed to be some 38,000 diseases yet four general classifications sum them up:

     1. Chemical: Toxemia, infections, chemical imbalance.
     2. Mechanical: Spinal lesions, trauma, pressure.
     3. Psycho-somatic: In coordination between the mental and physical.
     4. Environmental: Atmosphere, occupation, social factors, etc.

Iridology is of more value to the doctor in his relationship to the patient than any other analysis I know. In iridology, the important fundamental is the appearance in the iris of signs that new tissue is replacing old tissue. Who would not exchange and old body for a new one?

In order to determine abnormalities in the body and to make use of the iris findings, there is a definite philosophy which must be understood and applied. In order to understand the science of iridology, it is necessary to be in accord with the philosophy that goes with it. What more need a doctor know that the location of the inflammation in the body, the stage it is in, how it arrived there, how to free the body of it, and most of all, when you have freed it? The person, who believes sulfa drugs will cure a disease, would be likely to disregard the significance of the alterations which will be recorded in the iris as a result of administration of these drugs. A workable philosophy will help us to understand that the "eyes are the windows of the soul." Truly, they bear witness to the workings and conditions of every organ in the body.

To know this science completely would be impossible. The honest iridologist realizes that more Truth is recorded in the eyes that he is capable of analyzing. When we see evidences in the eyes of improved conditions, we are reminded of the quotation from the Bible, "The light of the body is the eye; if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness."
